Celebrating VNEA's
30TH ANNIVERSARY!

Well I am certainly proud to begin my term as the president of the premier amateur pool league association in the
world. I wish to thank my illustrious predecessors for their fine leadership during their tenure in office. I have
learned a great deal from them, my fellow tournament committee brethren and from the vast numbers of person-
nel and players that I have had the pleasure to meet at many, many tournaments. Please feel free to talk to me
whenever you see me in Las Vegas or at your local event.
The association has a great Board of Directors and office staff that continually strives to better the association but,
more importantly, improve the benefits and experience for you, the player. For all of you that were in Las Vegas in
May, you know that we had another awesome event with plenty of entertainment for all the participants. Once
again, OTBnTV was at the International Championships in Las Vegas and did a great job of providing complete
coverage for the folks back home. They were also at The Junior Championships in Lincoln, Nebraska this year
and they were very well received by the young players, their families at the event but mostly, by their friends and
family back home. You can still watch and relive all the action at these events from YOUR website VNEA.com.
The association is now going to offer more issues of "8-Ball News & Views" here on line rather than attempting to
"snail-mail" it to you. Our membership in Canada and overseas will finally be able to enjoy the magazine and arti-
cles in a more timely fashion. This also enables us to actually provide MORE issues and MORE information
throughout the year.
Let your league operator know that you want to see articles and pictures from your area about your leagues. This
is another service that we provide for you. We want to give you a real value for being a member of the VNEA.
Get your team together and get ready to jump in the league this year... after all the 30th Anniversary International
Championships are coming!
I hope to see you all in Las Vegas in May.
